Hanna specializes in working with cycle breakers, people who are intentionally seeking to understand and change the impact of negative patterns in their family of origin to create healthier relationships. Her clients recognize the negative impact of passing down trauma through generations and seek to lead healthier lives so that the trauma cycle stops with them.
I get what it’s like, I’m a cycle breaker too. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about helping others through it. I get the loneliness, the perfectionism, and the constant worry that you’re doing something wrong. I get the difficulty in setting boundaries and the massive self-doubt that can creep in as you pursue what so many in your family didn’t, healing trauma. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental approach when working with me. During our sessions, I listen intently and will ask you questions specifically designed to challenge and support your growth.
I will help you dig deep so you can understand the root of what is causing your anxiety and getting in the way of building the kind of life and relationships that you want. This includes tuning into your body and learning to understand what it’s communicating to you. I use somatics and body-based interventions such as vagal toning to help you regulate your nervous system and strengthen your ability to cope with stress. I offer insights and feedback based on your sessions and your goals. I will make suggestions so you can get the most out of your process.

Healing trauma and creating meaningful change in your life involves getting help along the way. Many of my clients feel guilty focusing on themselves and hesitate to ask for help. When they first start therapy, they often feel guilty for not being able to figure it out on their own. They use statements like “I should be over this already”, “I should be able to handle this on my own”, or even “Things weren’t that bad in my childhood, why do I feel this way?”.
I don’t say “trust me” a lot because trust needs to be earned, not simply asked for, but trust in that there are valid reasons for your anxiety and stress. Trust in that it’s okay to focus on yourself and that you don’t have to do everything on your own. When you are ready to get started, schedule a free 20 minute consultation with me. During this time we will identify your needs and I will answer any questions that you have about working together.
